The Machakos population of the Jackson's Three-horned Chameleon, Trioceros jacksonii, is the one where the males are exceptionally colorful.
Therefore, they are sometimes referred to as "The Rainbow Jackson's Three-horned Chameleon"
Its has been also assigned a false name Trioceros jacksonii villegensis, but it is just breeders' and importer's jargon, as the family name of the one who imported them to Europe first, was "Villegen"
