The giant Oustalet's chameleon (Furcifer oustaleti) is one of Madagascar's most imposing reptiles, reaching lengths of up to 60 centimeters. Despite its impressive size, its coloration is usually quite cryptic, blending into tree bark and foliage with earthy browns and greys that provide effective camouflage. Yet, across Madagascar, regional variation adds remarkable diversity to this species' appearance. In the southwestern lowlands, some of these incredible giants display a striking blue hue on the head, a feature that contrasts vividly with their otherwise muted tones. This subtle but distinctive trait highlights the adaptability and evolutionary richness of Furcifer oustaleti
