Furcifer pardalis, Mauritius
The Panther Chameleons have been recorded mostly from coastal areas the W coast (Black River) SW coast (Le Morne Brabant, W of Choisy), S coast (La Vanille Natural Park - own observation), SE coast (Bois des Amourettes) and s far north as N of Port Louis around Sir Seewosgaur Botanical Park further inland.
Three more inland populations exist at between Vacoas-Phoenix and Curepipe, around Casela Natural Parks (own observation) as well as Black River Georges NP and E of Mare Tabac (iNaturalist).
The introduced specimens resemble the original population from the vicinity of Tamatave, east coast of Madagascar.
