Calumma pinocchio And Its Sword Not Capable Of Killing

14/07/2026

Calumma pinocchio was described from Vohimana in the northern central east of Madagascar by Glaw, Agne, Prötzel, Gehring, Köhler, Preick, Ratsoavina, Straube, Wollenberg Valero, Crottini and Vences in 2025 (Salamandra 61(4): 442–466). Its rostral process, a sword‑like lance, is spectacular, yet it is soft; if you want to know more about its spectacular function, follow the Responsible Herpetoculture Journal.
